Northamptonshire Circuits

If you are based in Northamptonshire and are looking for driving experiences, there are a few available options for you. The main track that comes to mind would be Silverstone. This circuit is an incredibly popular motor racing venue in England next to the Northamptonshire villages of Silverstone and Whittlebury. Currently, Silverstone is the current home of the British Grand Prix, which was first hosted here in 1948. It is possible to purchase an experience day through Silverstone directly, however 6th Gear offer a wide range of Supercars for the recipient to choose from.

Rockingham Motor Speedway is of course other obvious choice for an experience day.  Rockingham is a unique venue with one of the fastest circuit layouts in the UK. According to circuit officials, spectators should be able to see about 85% of the track from any position. It is one of the more modern circuits in the UK. Rockingham was the first venue to be built with a banked oval since Brooklands circuit closed in 1939. We have been running our events there since November 2014 using the National circuit, and it has proved a popular venue. Rockingham Motor Speedway offers on site camping facilities. With Rockingham Castle around the corner, and easy access to surrounding areas including Corby, Kettering and Peterborough, it is easy to have an enjoyable day/weekend!

If you fancy trying out somewhere different, Longcross Proving Ground in Surrey can also be accessed easily. Being about an hour and a half away from Northamptonshire, it is well worth the journey. The track itself is mostly known for the studios that it is located on.  The track itself was opened to the public in 2009. The circuit runs through and around a forested area, giving you an ‘Alpine’ and scenic feel during the drive. The track is also used by McLaren to test their well-known Supercars.
